J.E. BACH BEEF HEIFER SHOW

Thursday, July 20, 2017 - Riley Pavilion – Rothwell Park, Moberly, MO

1. Open only to residents of Randolph county between the ages of 10 and 20 years. (Must have passed 9th birthday prior to January 1, 2017 and not passed 20th birthday prior to January 1, 2017)
2.  Females shown must be registered with the respective breed association in the name of the exhibitor.  (Farm or join registration is not acceptable)  Registration papers showing age and ownership of the cattle must be shown to officials of the show.  Date of registration of date of transfer must be at least 30 days prior to the date of the show.
3. Each exhibitor is limited to not more than one (1) animal per class and can show in only one (1) breed. No exhibitor can win over one (1) first cash prize on the same heifer.
4. Each winner will agree to return said heifer to a farm in Randolph county to use her for breeding purposes. Failure to do so will forfeit prize money.
5. Classes shall be for: Maine Anjou, Brangus, Limousin, Other, Charolais, Gelbvieh, Salers, Commercial, Simmental, Shorthorn, Hereford, And Angus:
a. Senior Calf born between September 1 and December 31, 2016
b. Summer yearling born between May 1 and August 31, 2016
c. Junior yearling born between January 1, 2016 and April 31, 2016
d. Senior yearling born between September 1 and December 31, 2015
e. Selection of top three (3) females by breeds: first and second place winners in classes 1 through 4 will be
    brought back into the ring to select the first second and third place females by breeds.

*Cash awards will be presented for top three (3) winners in the Angus, Shorthorn, and hereford breeds as   follows:
*First $100 Second $50 Third $25

*Cash awards for the other breeds will be prorated according to monies available from the bach fund, not to   exceed award amounts listed from above.

Potential development of the heifer to produce at breeding cow will be of prime importance

Any disputes will be settled by the Bach Beef Awards Committee.
