This is a special event for children under 8 years old.  “PeeWee’s” will be matched up with fair exhibitors who have sheep in the fair.  The “PeeWee” will take a sheep into the ring and hold it as the judge watches with the help of the sheep owner.

Interested “PeeWee’s” should contact the Sheep Show Chairman before the sheep show so sheep can be arranged.

In County entry fees $5 per head.   Entry fees are due by June 8, 2017.  Late entry fee is $10 per head.
All sheep exhibitors meeting – Wednesday, July 19 at 2:30PM.
All market lambs must be in place by 1PM day of show.

Jackpot show

Open to all counties with $15 per head entry fee.  Entry Fees are due by June 8, 2017.  Late entry fee is $25 per head.

HEALTH PAPERS IN EXHIBITOR’S NAME ARE REQUIRED AND WILL BE CHECKED

MARKET LAMB
The market lamb must be slick sheared.  Male market lamb must be castrated and tail docked.  Market lambs cannot be shown in other classes but may be a ewe.  Two market lambs per weight class may be shown (max. 6).

765) Light weight, Medium weight, Heavy weight
Classes will be made at the time of weigh-in on Wednesday, July 19.

We will be having an open show with at least 1/2 of the money going back for prizes.  Prize money will be given to the Grand and Reserve Champions.  If there is enough White faced, Speckled Face, and Black Faced sheep we will separate the classes by weight and type.

Breeds will be shown separately if there is more than 1 per class.  Wether dams will show with the market lamb show. All sheep must have registration papers to show as breeding stock.

Health papers in exhibitors name are required and will be checked! Registration papers also need to be in exhibitors name and will be checked.

Sheep Skill-A-Thon

Sheep Barn

We will hold a drawing for a 6’ x 6’ Mesh Panel pen donated by Weigand Brothers.  For every sheep entry you will get a ticket for a chance to win this pen.  Also if you participate in the Skill-A-Thon you will also get a ticket for a chance to will this pen.

Sheep Shows will be sponsored by:  Stegall Fabrication & Engineering LLC.  In county market lamb grand and reserve champion prize will be sponsored by Rick and Kathy Buxton.

CHECK-IN:  8-9 AM
SHOW TIME: 30 minutes following the breeding sheep show.

 

RULES
Sheep may be of any breed or age and must be halter broke, conditioned and fitted for show
Entrants must wear wool or wool blend outfits.
Entrants must upon entry furnish a ½ page written description of their entire outfit.
Entrants will be judged on appropriateness/attractiveness of attire; poise/appearance; and on control/presentation of lamb.
Wool outfit desired, but not required.

The Pee Wee Fun Line is open to boys and girls 7 years of age or younger. They will not be judged, but will receive a prize.
